Trust

What is trust?
Who do you trust?  Why do you trust them?
Are we to nieve to trust?
How does one regain trust when it has been lost?  Is it possible?
Do we ever fully trust anybody?

 

These are just a few thoughts which have been going through my head lately.  What is trust and how does it play into my life?  We trust everyday of our life-wheter we are aware of it or not.  We trust that the car next to us on the highway will not ram us.  We trust that people will stop at the stop sign.  We trust that when we see snow outside, the snow will feeel cold, We trust our feet to walk the way they are supopse to;one in front of each other, we trust that when we flick on the light switch, the light will go on.  But do we trust ourselves and other people?  I want to be a trust worthy person, but how does one go about doing that/being that?  If our hearts were broken, how long does it take for that trust to come back and heal? does it ever? What does the bible say about trust? What does Jesus say about trust?  we are suppose to trust our lives with Him-He is the maker of all things, the Creator-so then why is He sometimes the hardest one to trust?  We know HE wants whats best for us, yet we are often least trusting of Him and his ways.  We know He wants whats best for us and that he loves us, so one would think, that he would be the easiest to trust-but again, why does it always feel like we are having to trust him with the "big decisions" in life?  Does it ever come naturally?

What spiked this thought?  a few things in my head, a conversation here and there, school, practicum, life in general.  TRUST what does it really mean-to you and the person "trusting"?
